Accessibility Statement
Last updated June 17, 2026
HustlBase is committed to making our side-hustle discovery and evaluation platform accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every visitor to be able to browse the board, read PRIME scores, and find their next hustle regardless of how they access the web.
We treat accessibility as part of building the product, not an afterthought. This statement describes the accessibility features of the site, the standard we measure ourselves against, the limitations we currently know about, and how you can reach us for help or to report a problem.

1. CONFORMANCE STATUS
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
HustlBase aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means some parts of the content do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. We are actively working toward full conformance, and we treat any gap we discover as a bug to be fixed.
2. ACCESSIBILITY FEATURES
We have built the following accessibility features into HustlBase:
- Semantic HTML. Pages use real headings, lists, landmarks, and navigation elements so screen readers can announce structure and let you jump between sections.
- Keyboard navigation. Interactive elements — links, buttons, filters, and the hustle board — can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, without a mouse.
- Visible focus. Focusable controls show a visible focus indicator so keyboard users can always see where they are on the page.
- Text alternatives. Meaningful images and icons include text alternatives, and decorative imagery is hidden from assistive technology so it does not add noise.
- Color and contrast. We aim for text and essential interface elements to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios, and we do not rely on color alone to convey information such as PRIME scores or hustle tracks.
- Dark mode. A dark theme is available for readers who find lower-brightness viewing more comfortable.
- Responsive, zoomable layout. The layout adapts to small screens and remains usable when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed up to 200%.
- Reduced motion. Where animations are used, we respect the operating-system “reduce motion” preference and limit non-essential movement.
3. KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Despite our efforts, some parts of HustlBase may not yet be fully accessible. We are aware of the following limitations and are working to resolve them:
- Data visualizations. Interactive charts and the hustle map convey information visually. We provide text-based equivalents where possible, but some of these views may be difficult to use with a screen reader.
- Third-party content. Some embedded or linked content from third parties (for example, partner tools reached through our affiliate links) is outside our direct control and may not meet the same accessibility standard.
- Older editorial content. A small amount of older hustle content may contain images or formatting that predate our current accessibility practices. We update these as we find them.
If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us — see “Feedback and Reporting a Problem” below.
4. COMPATIBILITY WITH BROWSERS AND ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
HustlBase is designed to be compatible with current versions of major web browsers — including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge — on desktop and mobile, used together with the assistive technologies built into those platforms, such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and voice control.
HustlBase may not work as well with browsers older than the most recent two major versions, or with operating systems that are no longer supported by their manufacturer. For the best experience, we recommend keeping your browser and assistive technology up to date.
5. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Accessibility of HustlBase relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:
- HTML
- WAI-ARIA
- CSS
- JavaScript
These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.
6. HOW WE ASSESS ACCESSIBILITY
We assess the accessibility of HustlBase in several ways, including automated testing tools integrated into our development process, manual keyboard and screen-reader checks of key pages, and review of new features against WCAG 2.1 Level AA before they ship. Accessibility is part of our ongoing development work rather than a one-time audit.
7. GETTING ASSISTANCE
If a disability prevents you from using part of HustlBase and you need help accessing information or completing a task, we are happy to assist. Contact us at hello@hustlbase.com and describe what you were trying to do, and we will work with you to provide the information or service you need through an accessible alternative.
